Your moment of kindness can change everything for a mother and her child.
The Last time we had an economic downturn of this of this magnitude over 10,000 nonprofits had to close their doors across America. Informed Choice of Iowa now (OBRIA Medical Clinics) was only 6 months old when the 2007-2012 recession hit, not only did we make it through it we saved and touched hundreds of lives with the love of God over those four hard years. We thrived because of our faithful supporters and our staffs passion for the mission. I remember how they would bring toilet paper from home to bless the clinics with…it looks like we may have to do that again.
If we are going to make it through this COVID-19 recession we are going to need your financial help today.
Can you giving a gift today so that we can continue to do this very important work?
We are grateful for the Cares act and the new Charitable Giving Incentive:
It Includes a new above-the-line deduction (universal or non-itemizer deduction that applies to all taxpayers) for total charitable contributions of up to $300. The incentive applies to contributions made in 2020 and would be claimed on tax forms next year. Section 2204. The bill also lifts the existing cap on annual contributions for those who itemize, raising it from 60 percent of adjusted gross income to 100 percent. For corporations, the bill raises the annual limit from 10 percent to 25 percent. Food donations from corporations would be available to 25 percent, up from the current 15 percent cap.
