This year’s theme is “Every LIFE has a story.” At the Banquet, Steve Kaloper asked everyone to share their “why.” Why support Informed Choices? What an honor to hear the God stories of how He brought people to Himself and encouraged them to bless others.

I’ll go first…#whylife
Why we do what we do. We love and treasure LIFE here in the Owen Family and we are thankful to be alive. You see, I was an unplanned pregnancy myself. My mother had me at a young age. She was brave enough to give birth to me and my father was brave enough to adopt me as his own. I have always seen myself as blessed because they loved me without one ounce of regret.
It was early in my teen years that I realized some people were choosing abortion as a solution for unplanned pregnancies. Seeing this brought such a deep love and respect for my parents as well as thankfulness for being alive. I also witnessed, through family and friends, the destruction that an abortion brings. A woman never wants an abortion; she just sees it as her only option.
When I got married and started having my own sweet children, the value of life became overwhelmingly clear. When my husband and I saw an opportunity to bring strength, truth, and hope to abortion-vulnerable women we had to act.
